  We were jostled from behind and she tripped into me, pressing her soft breasts into my chest. My dick, traitor that he was, didn't listen to my command to stand down. I tried to patiently, silently explain to him that this wasn’t any woman, this was Penny. She was practically family. Not to mention her father, no matter how fond he was of me, would kill me. But oh no, the fucker twitched.

  Penny’s eyes went wide even as her lips parted.

  Speak of the devil and he shall appear. It was Ethan who had jostled us. His voice was low. “I apologize for interrupting Your Highness. I was looking for your father.”

  My gaze locked on Penny and her eyes went wide in panic. Reluctantly, I released her and turned to face Ethan, already missing the press of her. “I’m sorry I haven’t seen him.”

  He nodded. “Didn’t mean to interrupt. Who was that?”

  I didn't really have a choice. So, I lied. “I have no idea.”

  He shook his head and chuckled. “Oh, to be young again. Go have fun.”

  No way would he have told me that if he knew who I’d been holding so closely. I turned to find her and watched as she scampered off into the crowd. “You can run all you want, but I will find you.” Luckily, I knew exactly who she was. Finding her should be no big deal.

  Roone came up behind me. “I see, you still have a way with women.”

  I scoffed and rolled my eyes. “No, that’s not any woman. That’s Penny. Ethan’s daughter.”

  Roone laughed even harder. “Man, you must not like your nuts.”

  Apparently, I didn’t, because I had every intention on chasing her.
